The aim of this page is to compile all information related to the experiment, so, all participants will be able to check the experiment deteails, instrucctions and status. This page is accesible by everyone.
The page is divided into six sections:
- Experiment description: The description of the experiment: dates, objectives, sample information, methods, etc...
- Data analysis instructions: Common instructions to follow regarding the data analysis.
- Centralized analysis: Information related to the centralized analysis that we are going to perform in parallel to the particular analysis performed by each lab.
- Results template: An excel template where the results will be collected.
- Reporting instructions: Common instructions to follow regarding the MIAPE report generation.
- Participants: All proteomics laboratories involved in the experiment and their technical approach
to perform it.

We are (finally!!) ready to send the samples for this year’s Proteored Multicentric Study.
As you know the experiment will consist in analyzing two different samples (A and B), which contain an identical “matrix” of E.Coli proteins plus four standard proteins, spiked in different amounts. The samples are designed primarily to be analyzed by LC-MS, although DIGE analysis could be also possible. In the attached document you will find a detailed description of the samples, purpose of the experiment, methods...
As in previous experiments, each lab will have the choice to test their preferred method(s) for quantitative comparison of the two samples. We will set, however, as much standardization as possible in terms of number of replicate analysis to be run, data analysis (a unique database will be provided through the Proteored website, to be used for searches), and reporting of methods and results (using MIAPE documents). Salvador Martínez de Bartolomé will send you all the necessary information related to data report, data sharing, centralized re-analysis of the data...
Since the results will be presented/discussed in the Proteored meeting scheduled on March 15-17th, the deadline for submission of results will be February 22nd, 2010.
